Nicole “Nicki” Akin is a senior associate at Long-Weaver & Manning, LLP. Nicki’s practice is focused on civil litigation, including oil and gas, complex business, and major incident personal injury defense litigation, as well as family law litigation with an emphasis on high-asset divorce and complex property division matters.
Prior to moving to the Midland/Odessa area, Nicki practiced at a family law firm in Highland Park, Texas from 2011 – 2015, where she exclusively focused on high-asset divorce litigation. She has a passion for navigating clients through the divorce process. Nicki works closely with her clients to identify their short and long-term financial goals and devise strategies for accomplishing their goals in each case. She also represents clients in Collaborative divorces and is Collaborative Law certified.
Nicki moved to Midland in late 2015 and expanded her practice to include catastrophic incident response and defense, oil and gas matters, and business litigation, utilizing the skills and experience she obtained through handling divorce litigation cases.
